"Matt!" Airy and then lowered her voice. "Sorry. I have really exciting news."

Her eyes dropped and fell over his chest and pants. It was a good look for him and Airy was caught staring before she could pull her gaze back to his face. "Sorry." She'd seen it all before but Matt had a quality that you couldn't help but stare at.

"I asked the fairies for um... a favor." She fished the note from her pocket. "And Oberon gave it to me."

Her throat suddenly constricted and her voice lowered to a whisper. "I asked to not be poisonous. Specifically to your type of vampire." That included Dorian but that was okay. She trusted him, like she trusted Matt. It was safe to do this and it was something she wanted.
