Dark eyes watched her carefully. It had been so long since a fresh, sober to high experience, one he'd never have again, so he drank in the new perspective. Her eyes had already started to blow out when she took the ribbon and Matthew shifted to settle in next to her as she relaxed into the cushions.

'oh' was usually right, and Matthew smirked, drawing his fingers lightly up and down her arm.

"Feeling okay there, cherie?"

It was a bit strange, to be honest, to know that there wasn't going to be anyone chasing after and chastising him for this, especially with her safety in mind. Cassidy would normally be the biggest concern but Matthew hadn't met anyone that came close to his own addiction and Cassidy was damned close. No doubt he'd encourage it, so long as precautions were taken.
