"Meow." Airy purred softly, a smile playing across the plump curve of her lips.
Her torso shifted and Airy sprawled across Matt's lap, her hair fanning around his legs in a halo of wavy chestnut brown. The crystal sheen of her blue eyes remained but as time wore and the drug continued to seep into her system, Airy's gaze became unfocused and relaxed.
"That sounds pretty. I'd love to see a planetarium. Even normally. I've always loved stars." Her fingers brush against his side and begin to draw lazy circles against his silky shirt. "My favorite quote is about stars. I read it out of a National Geographic magazine at my dad's shop. I don't remember it exactly but it's something along the lines of; when we contemplate the whole globe as one great dewdrop, striped and dotted with continents and islands, flying through space with other stars all singing and shining together as one, the whole universe appears as an infinite storm of beauty."
Her voice trails off and for a few moments, Airy lets silence fill the small room.
