Cassidy pursed his lips, shook his head. "No, that was a coupla years prior. I tried makin' it work in Ireland after I'd got changed, like, but things kept goin' downhill. I mean, it turned out all right for the country in the end, but at the time, people just kept bloody dyin'. It woulda been the smart idea to get outta dodge in any case."

He leaned forward the hold the spoon full of powder over the flame.
