He might have been accused of such a long time before but not too long ago others had said much the same to Glinda in warning. Admittedly without such direct language but the warning had been thorough never the less. The witch's colourful cheeks heated more as she suppressed the urge to giggle as she didn't want to seem childish in front of him. And there was little more immature than giggling at swear words.

It would have been polite to look aside whilst he undressed. It would have been more impolite to look away whilst he spoke. It was a conundrum of manners and impulse but truthfully the deicision to keep her eyes on him wasn't as quarellous as it should have been. The few times they had been close in recent weeks had been a rush of lust and careless pushing of garments out of the way. There hadn't been time to sit and stare and - dare she think it? - enjoy the look of his frame. Glinda eyes certainly didn't leave him as he came towards her.

The poetry was swoon-worthy and Glinda found herself rather glad that she was sat in the heated water as she felt her knees go rightfully weak even while not supporting her weight. She had such a weakness when it came to the espousing of poetry and in Matthew's enchanting tones it was even more alluring than it had any good right to be. Glinda hand raised to lace her fingers with the ones resting against her skin.

"You really shouldn't be allowed to walk about capable of saying things like that." There was a touch of roughness in Glinda's soft tone that hadn't been there before and an honest awe behind her eyes. "It truly is an unfair challenge to me now knowing you can send me into riddiculousness with little more than words."

Oh, this time he entirely earned Glinda's small muffled giggle. Admittedly she had heard lewd poetry before although that had only toed the line into the territory of outright luridity. It was a long-standing tradition in Gillikun that during weddings once the happy new couple had tied the knot the families would sit about and spin yarns which inevitably turned into dirty limericks and blue poems.

There was an element within Glinda that rather enjoyed this. Sitting and flirting and saying terrible things that people would never expect to hear her say in a million years. A visceral enjoyment from surprising people that she took great pleasure in.

"Very dramatic." She applauded around blushing cheeks, delighted and scandalised in equal measure. "I must confess, I haven't much memory for poems but there are one or two I am oddly fond of;

Many people indulge despite the dangers
In dalliance even with complete strangers
Well, it was during such an act of fornication
That he hesitated after achieving penetration
“My dear miss, I would not have entered the vicinity
Had I been made aware of your virginity”
“My good sir, if I had thought you would be mistaken
And that as a virgin I would have been taken”
Then before we indulged in carnal delights
I would have removed my damned tights”

Glinda's smile broke into something more coquettish. "I shall have you know, dear Matthew, that I know many an impropriety and yet more dirty words." That she chose not to use them was another matter. It was yet another thing that had to be left behind. One couldn't be the flirting and bawdy waif in the vicious world of politics. Not when so many expectations rested upon your shoulders. "I am just mindful of whom I share them with."

"Probably not a great deal but in moments like this, I find it difficult to care if the sky were to fall." Especially when Matthew's presence and closeness was quite so intoxicating.

Matthew knew far too well how to push at the edges of her prim perfect pristine world and make it unravel in its entireity. Flirting and flouncing was suppose to be locked away; a relic of bygone years and intentions and horrors. Those fingers on her thigh were encouraging in the worst and best possible ways.

Despite herself, her eyes still flicked to the door to check they were still alone even despite Matthew's assurance that they wouldn't be disturbed. It wasn't usual to find people being close in the baths and Glinda wasn't jaded enough yet to do much more than turn on her heel with a squealed apology when she did come across it. And yet, they seemed to be alone. "Were it any other, I would say certainly not. However, I do seem to have trouble in refusing you." Since that first premission had been granted it had made it near impossible to say no to him.
